Introducing the New KindMind

The new KindMind opened to everyone on August 23, 2026. It brings together a free journal, an AI Guide, and multi-day Paths, with journal content encrypted on your device before it is stored.

Updated September 13, 2026: this launch article now reflects current pricing and migration links. Readers of KindMind classic can use the migration flow. The original version is at classic.kindmind.com.

The journal, Guide, and Paths

The journal is one continuous page. You can write today's entry and scroll back through earlier writing without choosing a folder first. The journal is free, so using it does not require a Plus subscription.

Guide is an ongoing AI conversation. You can ask a question, return to an earlier topic, or discuss a situation you want to think through. Guide remembers its conversations; whether journal entries also contribute to memory is a separate choice.

Paths provide a sequence of conversations around a subject, such as a decision or a relationship pattern. You can browse the Path catalog to see the available themes. These tools support reflection; they are not healthcare or a replacement for professional support.

What encrypted storage means here

Your entries are encrypted on your device before they are stored, and we do not hold the key that decrypts them. For journal content, our database holds ciphertext we cannot open. The encryption overview describes recovery, device access, and the limits of that protection.

AI processing is a separate path. Relevant readable text travels through KindMind's proxy to the provider when you use an AI feature. The proxy does not store message bodies or log them; provider handling and retention have their own terms. Read the AI privacy explanation before deciding whether to enable Journal memory.

Current pricing

The journal is free. KindMind Plus includes Guide and Paths for $12 a month or $72 a year. New accounts start with a 14-day trial of Plus, with no card required. The pricing page describes the current plans; the values here are kept in sync with it.

Moving from classic

If you have entries in KindMind classic, start with the migration flow rather than creating a separate empty archive and manually copying entries. It guides you through connecting the account and moving supported data. If you need help with an existing subscription, contact support before purchasing another one.

If you're new to KindMind, create an account and try a short entry. You can decide whether you want the additional AI features after you have seen how the journal works.
