We make warm, private tools for your inner life.
It's nice to meet you!
KindMind builds apps for knowing yourself, treating yourself kindly, and growing on purpose. Every one is zero-knowledge encrypted, and every one uses AI the way we believe it should be used: as a tool for deeper reflection and real change.
Private by design
Everything you write is zero-knowledge encrypted on your device before it is stored. Your words belong to you, and not even we can read them.
AI for reflection, not distraction
Our guides use AI to ask better questions, remember your journey, and help insight become lasting change. A tool for going deeper, never a feed to scroll.
Growth, held kindly
Self-discovery takes courage. Our apps meet you with warmth on the hard days and cheer you on through the good ones.

The path to change is hard. You don't have to walk alone. Tell your guide what you're working toward and it becomes a daily journey, walked together.
Learn more →Advance care planning, held gently
Your wishes, your important papers, and the words you want to leave behind, organized for the people you love. Private until the moment it matters.
Coming soonAI, used the way it should be
Most apps use AI to hold your attention. We use it to give your attention back to you. In our apps the AI has exactly one job: helping you reflect more deeply and change for real.
- 1
It asks better questions
A good guide doesn't hand you answers. Ours listens to what you write and asks the question underneath it, the one that helps you see yourself more clearly.
- 2
It remembers your journey
Real growth happens over months, not messages. Your guide carries the thread, so week twelve builds on week one instead of starting over.
- 3
It points toward change
Insight is the start, not the finish. Our guides turn what you notice into small daily practices, gentle accountability, and progress you can see.
- 4
It never owns your words
Conversations travel through a stateless proxy straight to the AI and are never stored on our servers. What you save is sealed with keys only you hold.
Built so we can't read your words
Honest reflection needs a safe place, so we built one. Zero-knowledge encryption seals what you write on your device before it ever reaches a server. No ad targeting, no data mining, no exceptions.
A small studio with a long memory
KindMind started in 2015 as a simple private journal, and it has been cared for ever since by a tiny independent studio. No growth team, no engagement dashboards, no investors asking for your attention. Just a decade-long belief that the words you write to yourself deserve the same privacy as the thoughts in your head, and that good tools should leave you more yourself, not less.
If you write to us, a human reads it and replies. Really!

Questions, answered
Is my writing really private?
Yes. Your words are encrypted on your device with keys derived from your password before anything is stored. We hold ciphertext we cannot open. No ads, no data sales, no exceptions.
What does AI actually do in your apps?
It plays one role: a thoughtful guide for reflection and growth. It asks questions, remembers context you choose to share, and helps you practice change. It never decides who sees your data, because nobody does.
What's the difference between the apps?
KindJournal is the private journal: free writing, reflection, guided journeys, daily check-ins. KindJourney is for becoming: pick something you want to change and a guide walks it with you day by day. LeaveWell, coming soon, holds your advance care plan and the words you want to leave behind. One private spine under all three.
Who is behind KindMind?
A small independent studio, caring for KindMind since 2015. No growth team, no engagement metrics to feed. Write to hello@kindmind.com and a human reads it and replies.
Ready when you are
